A new day, a new start, a new space

It was a big day in the life of Lifehouse Community Church in the afternoon of Sunday 25th April 2021. After not meeting in person for over a year during the pandemic we met together again for our first Sunday gathering. It felt a bit like going on holiday crossed with Christmas Day! For Katherine and I and our family there was a level of excitement and nervousness - constantly checking the clock to see if it was time to get in the car yet! There was a growing excitement and an expectation of what was to come.

It was a fantastic time meeting together being able to see each other and be in the same room all together, even if socially distant with masks and not able to sing! There was a faith and expectancy that we, as the church, would meet with God and we did. It was great to worship God together, hear his word and be challenged and encouraged.

It wasn’t just a re-start but a new start. We met in a new building, which is brand new and right in the middle of a growing estate, to start a new season. God spoke clearly to as a church about taking the stones out of our rucksacks, things that we had been carrying, and allowing God to bring His freedom. He also spoke to us about a new day of adoption, that God wanted to release us to see growth and to see people added in. God has begun doing that and already there are number of people who have or are moving in to Banbury and Bicester.

We have been so blessed by our relationship with Oxford Community Church and of the help and support. It was great to have some of you with us on Sunday. Thanks for your prayers and support, please do continue.

Would you also ask God if he is asking you to move and connect and be part of us? We believe he wants to add a few more!
